Brenda Holt

United States Veteran

“I’m a U.S. Navy veteran and a grandmother, and I’ve been dealing with a lot of family issues and just trying to keep everything together. Vets2Vets helped me get my paperwork organized so I could increase my VA disability benefits, and they also helped me navigate Social Security, which felt completely overwhelming before.

What I really appreciate is the weekly check-ins. They ask about work, but they also check in on my spiritual health, too — and that keeps me grounded. Sometimes it’s just a relief to talk to someone who isn’t a friend or family, but still understands what I’m going through and doesn’t judge me.

I’m truly grateful for what they do and how committed they are to supporting veterans.”

James Clark

United States Army

“As a U.S. Army combat veteran, Vets2Vets coaching honestly changed my life. They helped me figure out my VA benefits, sent me real opportunities for professional certifications, kept me updated on job fairs, and even helped me tighten up my resume. When I finally landed a job, they didn’t just disappear — they helped me start rebuilding my credit and gave me a clear plan to work toward homeownership. They even connected me with support for my music career, which meant a lot to me. The regular check-ins kept me grounded, focused, and moving forward. It’s helped my stability, confidence, and sense of purpose more than I can explain.”

Leon Hogg

United States Army

“Managing service-connected issues while building and sustaining a career in the Los Angeles film industry isn’t something most people understand. The pace is relentless. The expectations are high. And in an environment where everything moves fast and you’re expected to always be “on,” it can be easy to push your own health and stability to the side — until it catches up with you.

Vets2Vets has been a steady, consistent touchpoint in the middle of all that. They don’t just offer generic advice — they offer real understanding, clear guidance, and support that’s actually useful. Sometimes it’s practical help, sometimes it’s simply having someone who can listen without judgment and still hold you accountable.

I’ve genuinely come to look forward to the coaching and support calls. In a world where you’re constantly performing, pitching, producing, and delivering, it’s rare to have a space that feels grounded and human. Their encouragement has meant more than I can put into words. They’ve helped me stay focused, stay steady, and stay connected to what matters — both in my work and in my life.”

— Leon Hogg, US Army Combat Veteran, Film Maker

Hara Kahn

United States Navy

“I’m a single mom and a U.S. Navy veteran, and Vets2Vets really helped me get clear on what I needed to do next. They supported me in transitioning my massage business into a fitness and healthy lifestyle business — and honestly, I wouldn’t have figured it out this smoothly on my own.

They helped me choose the right certifications, amongst several options. They also helped me understand no-cost marketing that actually works. The weekly calls help me stay focused week after week and really makes a difference. I’m taking my ACE test this month because of their support, and I’m genuinely excited about it.

My civilian friends mean well, but they don’t really understand my military background or the world I come from — so it’s been huge to have support from fellow veterans who get it.”
